Francis Kurkdjian was born in Paris in 1969, into a family of Armenian origin. His childhood was marked by a deep interest in art and creativity, which led him to explore the world of perfumes at an early age. After completing his school education, Kurkdjian decided to follow his passion and enrolled at ISIPCA (Institut Supérieur International du Parfum, de la Cosmétique et de l'Aromatique Alimentaire), one of the most prestigious perfumery schools in the world, located in Versailles, France.

During his formative years at ISIPCA, Kurkdjian had the opportunity to study under some of the greatest names in perfumery. He completed various internships and training programs that allowed him to hone his skills and gain a deep understanding of chemistry and the art of perfume creation.

In 1995, at the age of just 26, Francis Kurkdjian achieved international fame by creating "Le Male" for Jean Paul Gaultier. This fragrance quickly became a bestseller and marked the beginning of an extraordinary career that has seen Kurkdjian collaborate with numerous haute couture brands and perfume houses.
