Olfactory Nectar - The Brand
Nectar Olfactif was born from David Perrin's passion for niche perfumes and travel. A perfume collector with a professional background in the sector, David has worked in the manufacturing and packaging of fragrances for other niche brands, developing a strong sensitivity to the quality of products, raw materials and the design of bottles and packaging.
During his travels, David cultivated a thirst for discovery of nature and the history of civilizations, which naturally led to the creation of Nectar Olfactif . The fascinating organization of bees, with their meticulous distribution of activities within the hive, was a source of inspiration for David. The collecting bees that bring nectar back to the hive symbolize the raw materials used in olfactory compositions.
Nectar Olfactif selects the best raw materials to create exceptional fragrances. The fragrances are Extraits de Parfum, promising an exceptional olfactory hold and a long duration.
The Design
The design of Nectar Olfactif naturally recalls the world of bees and plants. The bottle has a cubic shape with a honey-colored lacquered interior. The cap resembles a beehive. On the gold-colored silkscreened medal, a bee stands out with a flower and leaves at the ends, inspired by the story of the bee trapped in amber and found in Myanmar, considered the oldest bee fossil discovered, dating back 100 million years.
The green box symbolizes the plant world. Protected by an outer box, the box appears as an elegant treasure chest, with suede-covered interiors that give a sensual touch and reveal the perfume bottle.
The Creation of Perfumes
David chose to collaborate with the perfumers of Maison Robertet, sharing their values and love for natural raw materials. For over 200 years, Robertet has been a primary source of natural ingredients for the perfumery industry, with an expertise that goes from the origin (seeds, leaves, flowers) to constantly reinvented industrial techniques: extraction, hydrodistillation, purification, molecular distillation, CO2 extraction and co-distillation.
David worked on the creation of the fragrances with perfumers Sidonie Lancesseur and Serge de Oliveira of Maison Robertet. The selection of raw materials was very demanding, in search of natural scents inspired by his travels.
Once the fragrances have been created from the concentrates of Maison Robertet, and with the strength of his experience, David manufactures the Extraits de Parfum in the family business, by hand, following the phases of maceration, glaçage, filtration and packaging.
