Maison Rebatchi was born from the passion and determination of Mohamed Rebatchi, a young entrepreneur who turned his dream into reality. Born in Créteil in 1991, Mohamed was not destined to work in the world of perfumery. The son of Algerian immigrants, with a father who was a merchant and a mother who was a home care worker, he learned from an early age the importance of work, generosity and kindness. Thanks to an education steeped in tradition, he developed a sense of refinement and a taste for simplicity and excellence.
For his family, perfume was the embodiment of happiness, while scented clothes and a fragrant home symbolized luxury. At just 12 years old, Mohamed began secretly visiting local perfume shops after school, fascinated by the world of perfumery. It was then that he began to dream of creating his own perfume house.
After working at odd jobs, the opportunity finally came. Mohamed learned the art of perfume making from perfumers and evaluators in small fragrance formulation houses, where he created some accords that were appreciated by those around him, which encouraged him to pursue his dreams.
The adventure took a decisive turn when he decided to contact Karine Chevallier. This meeting led to two more: first with Randa Hammami, who recommended him to meet Maurice Roucel, and then with Bertrand Duchaufour. With each new collaboration, Mohamed continued to surprise those around him, thanks to his knowledge of the market and his incessant search for raw materials and ingredients. Everyone was unanimous in saying that Mohamed Rebatchi constantly took his creations one step forward, thanks to his innovative ideas and his tireless research.
