Marina Sersale is James Morrison's great-great-granddaughter. Raised between England and Italy, she lives in Rome becoming a documentary director and screenwriter.
Sebastián Alvarez Murena is the great-great-grandson of Bartolomé Mitre. After living in Argentina, Spain and Switzerland, he settled in Italy, where in 2001 he met Marina.
The two fall in love and get married. In 2004 they create Eau d'Italie, a luxurious collection of perfumes inspired by Positano and their favorite places in Italy.
In 2012, the chance discovery of the events that connected their families in Argentina centuries ago becomes the inspiration for a new collection of perfumes they call ALTAIA.
ALTAIA - an acronym for “A Long Time Ago In Argentina" - is the name of a collection of Eaux de Parfum that draws inspiration from the extraordinary circumstances of Marina and Sebastián's shared past, and is their tribute to the wonderful narrative power of the art of perfumery and its infinite capacity to tell ever new and fascinating stories.
